About This Tour

Join us for three wonderful days in the beautiful rolling farmland of Amish country in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania! Traveling on a full-size motorcoach bus to this picturesque part of America, our journey will begin at the amazing Hershey’s Chocolate World, where, among other things, you will enjoy a trolley ride around the town of Hershey and learn the story of America’s most famous chocolatier. That evening, we will experience a lovely dinner at the home of an Amish family! Our second day will begin with a tour of the countryside with our Mennonite step-on guide who will tell us all about the life of the Amish and Mennonite people. During the morning, we will also receive an enriching guided tour of a life-size replica of the Old Testament Tabernacle! After a fun lunch in a classic converted train dining car, we will be off to Sight and Sound for a spectacular theatrical presentation with live animals. After the show, we will cap off this excellent day at the largest smorgasbord in the United States, Shady Maple, where you will enjoy an incredible dinner buffet, and then have time to browse in their delightful gift shop. Our third day will begin with a charming personal tour of an Amish farm led by the farmer and his family. Then, you will hop into an Amish horse-drawn buggy for a ride in the country! From there, we will go to the oldest publicly owned continuously running farmer’s market in America, Lancaster Central Market, where you will be able to get lunch and pick up some Amish goodies to bring home. Our final stop on the trip will be Turkey Hill ice cream where you will learn how they make it, enjoy a tasting, and even make your own! A visit to Amish country is a great way to disconnect with the overwhelming digital world we live in and reconnect with nature and community.
